Such as Pans Labirynth or Children of men. Good film by the way. Saw it in the second run theater the other day. Still, just want to say I'm glad to hear it didn't make it out there in the P.I. I don't think the general public is really ready for this. ...or Pirates. Perhaps i'm going off tangent but before the genral public go spending hard earn money on whatever genre, I thnk it really should be something real. A delusional public produces more silly fantasy flicks. dont cha think?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31058461.post-26678366487614763432007-05-29T13:08:00.000+08:002007-05-29T13:08:00.000+08:00Thanks jc,Films about real stuff, quality fantasy ...Thanks jc,

Films about real stuff, quality fantasy films (Pan's Labyrinth which didn't do as well as this), quality sci-fi films (Children of Men, which wasn't even shown here), quality horror films... I don't care what genre they are, as long as it's something worth watching; not merely for plain entertainment. Or if it is for mere plain entertainment, at least does it well.Oggs Cruzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03041599863258946384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31058461.post-13890060432589513832007-05-29T12:57:00.000+08:002007-05-29T12:57:00.000+08:00Ogg, Yes, I AGREE! it's unfortunate. That country needs more dose of reality check. How about something that tells a story about real stuff. the Philippines needs to see more movies that deals with more tangiable material. Yes, talk about exploitation but who's demanding it?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31058461.post-70689265442108599282007-05-27T19:38:00.000+08:002007-05-27T19:38:00.000+08:00It's quite unfortunate that this is what Hollywood...It's quite unfortunate that this is what Hollywood is importing to the world, and we're all lining up to see it... I was expecting a bigger role for Chow Yun Fat. No better than Dead Man's Chest. It's quite enjoyable though, but it's also quite annoying and forgettable save for that chinese crew snapping his frozen toe.LOLBog Chihukbohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13325777872874438669noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31058461.post-78750546877470780132007-05-26T14:14:00.000+08:002007-05-26T14:14:00.000+08:00After the death of Chow Yun-Fat's character, my ey...After the death of Chow Yun-Fat's character, my eyes started to droop, which was also the case when I watched Dead Man's chest. I kept trying to regain my alertness but despite the explosions and the overwrought romance, the energy or whatever's left of it can't seem to up the ante. It's unnecesarily long, and old Sparrow tricks are not anymore amusing. I hate the fact the people are actually laughing at the monkey scenes when it's f*ucking annoying already.
