Also, some strange and distracting little details like when the ghost was leaving with aubrey miles, all the siblings seemed to have thought: "okay, let's make an aisle. The ghost is walking past so if we don't make an aisle, they wouldn't be able to get by us." Hard to explain, but it kind of reduces the unexplainedness/singular momentousness of the event when some logical consideration is presented at the same time. Like witnessing the annunciation and realizing your feet are asleep.Noelnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31058461.post-75895100990569320742007-11-03T01:46:00.000+08:002007-11-03T01:46:00.000+08:00I agree with reservations. About being the decade's best, I'm not too sure... it's certainly one of the better Pinoy horror films to have come out recently, leaps and bounds better than the overrated Feng Shui, Sukob, Ouija, etc.Oggs Cruzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03041599863258946384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31058461.post-87136123737857802192007-11-03T01:39:00.000+08:002007-11-03T01:39:00.000+08:00pa-siyam is the only erik matti movie i truly like...pa-siyam is the only erik matti movie i truly liked, his best, and perhaps one of this decade's best.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31058461.post-69969232235039715982007-11-01T10:22:00.000+08:002007-11-01T10:22:00.000+08:00The scares are repetitive, not because the filmmak...The scares are repetitive, not because the filmmakers ran out of tricks to dish out, but because they are coming from a nagging ghost-mom, trying to make her children aware of their wrongdoing. At first, it's just a few pieces of poo, a puddle of urine, a pack of pancit canton. The next time, it's a bucketfool of poo, overflowing urine, and more pancit canton to feed a squatter colony. She's obviously nagging them, but the children are headstrong on their innocence, insisting that they're guilt-free of their mom's suffering.Oggs Cruzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03041599863258946384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31058461.post-7487006389940103722007-11-01T02:52:00.000+08:002007-11-01T02:52:00.000+08:00In fairness nga, at first cringe-inducing yung Pan...In fairness nga, at first cringe-inducing yung Pancit canton! Five pesos a pack, just add water and you have your effective pancit canton mixed with vomit, to make us gullible viewers cringe with disgust.Oggs Cruzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03041599863258946384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31058461.post-40970798046888288082007-10-31T18:31:00.000+08:002007-10-31T18:31:00.000+08:00I was in high school when this came out. It was R-18 and we were all in our high school uniforms, hence we watched Pa-Siyam instead.

I liked it even if my friends thought it was stupid. Erik Matti handled the drama as well as the horror factors well. And Aubrey Miles as an autistic (but still hot) lady, WOW.

Though the pancit canton mixed with suka on the floor were a bit repetative at times. Ilang beses ba nila nagawa yun? I forgot.

But yeah, this one's a solid movie.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
