My lolo was Jess Banguis who penned the Juan Tamad movies.

I'm the youngest of his grandchildren and I never knew how brilliant he was until a few days ago when I googled his name. Can I use your blog as my reference for the review on the movie?

I am still quite in a shock because I was never told of his accomplishments. He was just my lolo. It did inspire me to start my own blog and write the first entry for him.

Hope you can email me at karlabernardo17@yahoo.com if ok with you. Many thanks. And thanks for your entry. It made me so proud of my lolo even more.lalabbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14067435499869939595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31058461.post-82612394634030214712010-05-28T10:10:01.883+08:002010-05-28T10:10:01.883+08:00Thanks Whammy. Thanks Whammy.Oggs Cruzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03041599863258946384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31058461.post-9913537412501165872010-05-27T23:22:34.262+08:002010-05-27T23:22:34.262+08:00Read this in UNO. There are other great articles there, like a review of Mike de Leon's Rizal, a review of Raymond Red's Ang Himpapawid, a review of this relatively unknown documentary director's foray into narrative filmmaking Kalapati, and a whole lot more. The Filipino film industry was very prominent across Asia at one point, and many of our products were dubbed over for release in other countries (including Hong Kong and the US).

Now, if only we could re-dub and digitize Gerardo de Leon's Dyesebel and Banga ni Zimadar (currently in Thailand's national archives--in 35mm!), the world would be a better place.John Santoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05550723755669290621noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31058461.post-86601295674755232082010-05-12T22:12:42.652+08:002010-05-12T22:12:42.652+08:00Glad this film is available for everyone.Glad this film is available for everyone.Jason Brucehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01101539679542943675noreply@blogger.com
